Two children and a woman have been mauled by four dogs in a horror attack. A four-year-old child, a six-year-old child and a 30-year-old woman were hurt earlier today (Saturday, October 5).

They were found injured following the incident at about 9am, which is believed to have involved four dogs. Officers managed to bring the dogs in Orpington, London, under control before taking them to police kennels.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of having dogs dangerously out of control and is currently in police custody, the Met Police said. The three victims have been taken to hospital.

Their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening. People in the area have been warned that there will be an increased police presence in the area in the coming days, Mirror reports.

Superintendent Mitch Carr, South Area BCU, said he understood that there will be plenty of concern over what happened. He said: "I know this incident will have caused a lot of public concern, especially due to the young age of the children injured.

"Fortunately, it is believed that none of the injuries are life-threatening. A woman has been arrested on suspicion of having dogs dangerously out of control and she has been taken into custody.

"The dogs have also been taken to police kennels while the investigation is ongoing. Extra officers will be in the area over the next few days to provide community reassurance."
