Longbridge drugs raid as police seize 'criminal cash'

A man was arrested after police seized drugs and cash from a Birmingham property. It followed a raid in Longbridge.

Police executed a warrant at an address on Thurlestone Road just after 4.15am, today, Tuesday, October 22. A 42-year-old man was held on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

The suspect remained in custody. Police inquiries are ongoing.

In a statement, police said: "We've recovered drugs and suspected criminal cash after executing a warrant in Longbridge We acted on information and raided an address in Thurlestone Road at just after 4.15am today, October 22.

"A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and is currently in custody for questioning. Drugs can ruin lives and fuel further crime.
