Dr Zoe Williams revealed she had been suffering from health complications including concerns about her heart

This Morning's resident doctor Dr Zoe Williams has opened up about a terrifying health scare that led her to write an emergency will from her hospital bed. The 44 year old TV medic took to Instagram on Wednesday to share her ordeal, revealing she had been dealing with a 'year of health blips'.

She wrote: "I got signed off by my Cardiologist today... I'm ok. But I wasn't certain that I would be for a while!

"It's been a year of health blips. The most worrying being my heart. But I'm ok. Writing an emergency will from your hospital bed, just in case, is not the one though. But I'm ok."

She added: "It's interesting how we can be thankful for these experiences. They can make us see clearly.

"What matters. What doesn't. And just how easy it is to take our health for granted xxx."

Fans rushed to support the star after the revalation, with one writing: "Hope u recover Zoe. Any idea what caused your heart issue!? I suddenly began have heart issues a couple of years ago. I know what caused mine. And many of the people I know."

A second wrote: "Oh no! I didn’t realise you have got heart issues . So have I! Just diagnosed with SVT. I hope you’re managing yours well? It is a worry." While a third added: "So pleased that you are ok take care."

A familiar face on the ITV daytime show, Zoe built her media career on her passion for fitness and health after graduating from medical school in 2007. Originally hailing from Burnley, Lancashire, she first appeared on TV in the 2009 reboot of Sky 1's Gladiators.

Now based in London, she works as a GP and regularly appears on the ITV daytime show. Dr Williams has also presented BBC shows including Trust Me I am a Doctor and a Horizon episode about the contraceptive pill.
