Bristol Road South probe after man found injured on major Birmingham commuting route

Police are investigating after an injured man was discovered along a main commuting route. The victim was found on Bristol Road South, in the Weoley Castle area, just after 4pm on Monday (Oct 28).

He was treated at the scene for 'serious wounds' by paramedics before he was transferred to hospital. West Midlands Police later confirmed that his injuries were not serious but are appealing for information so they can work out what happened to him.

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Police said: "We're investigating after a man was found with injuries in Bristol Road South at just after 4pm yesterday (28 October). Thankfully these were not serious and we're working to establish exactly what happened."

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an incident on Bristol Road South in Weoley, Birmingham just before 4pm. An ambulance and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival crews discovered a man with serious injuries who, following treatment from ambulance staff, was conveyed on blue lights to hospital for further treatment."
