Aston Villa players took to social media after the win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday

Aston Villa have now won eight of their first 11 matches in all competitions after beating Fulham 3-1 at Craven Cottage.

Raul Jimenez had put the hosts in front early on, but Morgan Rogers managed to get Villa back on level terms in the ninth minute after his strike from outside the box deflected in off Calvin Bassey. Emi Martinez prevented Fulham from retaking the lead before the break as he denied Andreas Pereira from the penalty spot.

Ollie Watkins then scored his fifth goal of the season by heading in Youri Tielemans' corner on the hour mark, before Joachim Andersen was sent off for denying the striker a goal-scoring opportunity and Fulham defender Issa Diop scored an own goal minutes after coming on. The drama didn't stop there as Jaden Philogene was sent off for two bookable offences in the space of five minutes at the end of the match.
