Morrisons launches new free unlimited refill deal for all customers

The Winter Refills Allowance is available across all self-serve hot drinks including tea, coffee and hot chocolate at Morrisons cafes nationwide

Morrisons is warming up the winter for its customers by offering free unlimited hot drink refills. The beloved supermarket has rolled out its Winter Refills Allowance in every cafe it operates across the UK. Eager to beat the chill, shoppers can indulge in endless self-serve hot drinks like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate after buying just a single cup.

Prices for a hot beverage begin at only £1.85. Morrisons Cafe Buyer Becky Wilson commented on the initiative: "We are always looking for ways to give our customers more reasons to visit our Cafes and the Winter Refills Allowance does just that. As well as the quality food at affordable prices, our Cafes are a space for communities to connect, work or relax, and they can now do so over a warm mug of their choosing."

This delightful offer follows Morrisons' announcement that it aims to bring on board 3,000 new staff members amid the Christmas rush, targeting roles in stores, food manufacturing sites, and logistics operations. Offers are up for grabs for positions such as customer assistants and home delivery drivers.

In a movement towards flexibility and seasonal cheer, the supermarket giant is providing an array of working patterns, along with sweet perks including a 15% discount for workers and a further 10% off for a friend or family member. While the jobs up for the taking are temporary, Morrisons has given a nod towards potential extensions into long-term opportunities, reports the Mirror.

Morrisons has announced the opening of its Christmas delivery slots, with Delivery Pass customers getting first dibs from October 2 and a minimum spend of just £25. Other shoppers have been able to book since October 9 for deliveries scheduled between December 20 and December 24.

Andrew Everson, Head of Online at Morrisons, commented: "At Morrisons, we know how important convenience is during this time of year, so we're excited to announce that we're opening our Christmas delivery slots earlier this year. With our Delivery Pass, customers can also find a plan that best fits their needs for the upcoming festivities."

In addition to this festive update, Morrisons has made a significant change to its loyalty app, claiming the new update will be "better" for everyone. The supermarket has transitioned its customers from the old "white app" for online groceries to a unified "green" Morrisons groceries app.

This move is part of an effort to streamline the digital experience as Morrisons previously operated "one website and two apps". The change is intended to consolidate these platforms.

Previously, the white app was used by customers in areas where online orders were fulfilled by central fulfilment centres. With the introduction of a store-pick model for online orders, Morrisons launched a second, regional app.

However, according to Morrisons, most customers would not have noticed the split due to its "regional" nature.
