Saskatoon man convicted of child sex assault found dead before sentencing

A Saskatoon man convicted in June of sexually touching an 11-year-old girl three times in 2020 was found dead over the weekend, his wife has confirmed.

Eric Michael Pohorecky, 64, was scheduled to have his sentencing hearing in Saskatoon Court of King’s Bench on Oct. 25. An arrest warrant was issued when he failed to attend.
