TAYLORSVILLE — Police have identified a 27-year-old woman who was killed when the car she was driving struck a wall near a Taylorsville cemetery just before midnight Saturday.

Taylorsville Police Sgt. Ryan Carver said the single-car crash happened when the vehicle left the road near 4567 S. Redwood Road, hit a wall and crashed into the cemetery at 11:47 p.m. Two passengers — a man and a woman — were ejected and taken to a hospital.

The woman driving the car died. Taylorsville Police Lt. Aaron Cheshire on Monday identified the driver as Jasmine Aguila, 27.

Chesire said suspected drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle and substance use was a possible factor in the crash.

Carver recommends motorists pay careful attention while driving and says seat belts prevent ejections.
