Driver killed in head-on collision in Weber County

FARR WEST, Weber County — A driver was killed in a head-on collision Monday morning after they crossed over the center lane and collided with a oncoming vehicle, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a Ford Focus was traveling north on 2000 West in Farr West when the car left its lane and hit an oncoming Subaru Outback. The crash occurred near 1146 North and 2000 West at about 4:45 a.m., according to the Department of Transportation.
The driver of the Ford was not wearing a seat belt and was killed in the crash, according to troopers. The driver of the Subaru was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
Investigators say impairment is a possible factor in the crash, but did not release more information. The identity of the person who was killed has not been released.
