Allegation

by · Leinster Leader

False comments about a man were posted on the internet, it was claimed at a sitting of Naas District Court.

The man alleged at the hearing that the posts were created by his wife and he applied for court protection under family law legislation.

He claimed that his wife, who was not present for the hearing and was not represented, has been verbally abusive for the previous five months.

He claimed she has been abusive to him and his daughter and had told neighbours, family and friends he had not been a good husband.

“It’s not true," he added.

Judge Desmond Zaidan said that this was not a case for an emergency order because of the absence of a genuine risk,  but he said he would reluctantly grant an interim order.

He adjourned the case.
