Search for missing Naas man is stood down following discovery of body

Gardaí have confirmed that the search for missing Naas man Jamie O'Keefe has been stood down following the discovery of a body. 

Gardaí thanked members of the public and the media for their assistance. 

A Garda statement said: "Following the discovery of a male body earlier today (Saturday) in Naas, Co. Kildare, the missing person appeal for Jamie O'Keefe, 32 years, who was reported missing from Naas, Co. Kildare on Monday 21st October 2024, has been stood down.

"No further media action is required and no additional information is available at this time.

"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in this matter."
