UPDATE: Rapid KL in a FB post has said that repairs on track components between Wangsa Maju and Sri Rampai stations have been completed and tested for safety as of 3.30 pm. Alternative train and shuttle bus services have been terminated. The frequency is being regulated and train services will be operating normally shortly.

The Klang Valley flash floods have caused disruptions to the Kelana Jaya LRT line, specifically at the northern end between Wangsa Maju and Sri Rampai stations.

Rapid Rail said in a statement that it became aware of water damage to a few track components at 10.20 am today, and has shut off power at the affected section to allow inspection and remedial work to be carried out.

A shuttle train has been activated between Gombak and Wangsa Maju stations, while trains coming from Putra Heights will turn back at Wangsa Maju station. Also, 12 free shuttle buses will run at 15-minute intervals between Sri Rampai and Taman Melati stations.

According to Rapid Rail, remedial work is expected to be completed before the evening peak hour, and relevant personnel including additional auxiliary police are already at the affected stations to assist commuters. Travel safe, everyone.
