Recently, shoppers have been going mad for Revolution's skincare range, which has affordably priced products that are often compared to top selling premium alternatives. The Revolution Pro Miracle Serum 30ml is said to be similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum Crystal Elixir which would set you back £65 for a 30ml.

Right now, Revolution is selling the serum for £8.45, reduced from £10, but you can find it for even less at Debenhams, which is selling it for £8. At its regular price, you can also pick up the serum from Boots and Look Fantastic.

Revolution's 'powerhouse' serum is 'supercharged' with skin-loving ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C and polyglutamic acid that work together to promote 'smoother, plumper and younger-looking skin'. The latter three ingredients also feature in the award-winning CT serum formula.

The serum promises 'younger-looking' and 'firmer-feeling' skin after four weeks. After conducting consumer tests, 83% of users felt their skin was 'rejuvenated' within this time period and 84% agreed that their skin texture 'appeared smoother'.

On Revolution's site, there are 340 reviews as of yet, with the Miracle Serum earning a rating of 4.6 out of five stars overall. One reviewer Gemma left five stars and said: "Just like the Charlotte Tilbury serum."

Julia praised the value for money, and said: "Very Good Serum. I have been using this every morning. Nice texture, glides on and my skin feels good. An excellent buy for little money." - you can purchase it on offer for £8 at Debenhams here.

Pippa thought that it lived up to it's 'miracle' name: "Amazing. I am always full on suspicious of anything that claims miracles or is 'as good as' any high end product....but maybe I am wrong...this stuff is awesome!!! My skin has never been so good."

Evie was also thrilled with her purchase, she added: "Fabulous. After spending way too much on a very similar high end brand serum, I was excited to try this alternative for less than a fraction of my usual price. "

She continued: "I was not disappointed, I didn’t expect the bottle to be as big as it was - bonus! And it goes on an absolute dream. Perfect for prepping my face and for repairing. Would 100% recommend and will be buying again for sure."

One small issue came from Gini who said: "This is a great product. My skin loves it. I’d be tempted to give it 5 stars… However, I don’t get on with the delivery system. The push button lid just doesn’t work for me. I’m tempted to decant it to an empty niacinamide/zinc bottle (another great Revolution product)."

If you don't mind the price, Charlotte's Magic Serum Crystal Elixir is available for £65, and comes with thousands of impressive reviews. Or, Beauty Bay has slashed the price of another cult favourite serum which has won more than 70 awards in its time on the market: The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex is down to £67.10 from £89
