Boots shoppers are snapping up a designer fragrance that's currently offered with a £44 discount as part of the Boots Star Gift promotion, making it a hot buy ahead of Christmas. The coveted Black Opium Le Parfum , usually priced at £110 for a 50ml bottle, is now just £66 and it's 'trending' on the Boots website.

Launched in 2022, the Black Opium Le Perfume is the latest gem added to Yves Saint Laurent's incredibly well-received Black Opium line. Crafted by four master perfumers – Nathalie Lorson, Olivier Cresp, Marie Salamagne and Honorine Blanc – the perfume boasts an exotic blend of spicy cinnamon, sweet pear and refreshing green mandarin intertwined with warm notes of Solar Notes, Jasmine Sambac and Orange Blossom.

Completing this rich experience is a base laden with various kinds of vanilla including Madagascar Vanilla, Bourbon Vanilla, Vanilla Absolute, alongside Coffee, Vanilla Orchid and Patchouli.

Receiving glowing feedback, the scent has earned an impressive average rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 692 reviews. An overwhelming 98% of reviewers recommend this perfume.

One proud owner expressed their love for the scent saying: "I love this scent for both day and night wear, it's long-lasting and smells so feminine and cute. Definitely a good one for my holiday.", reports Nottinghamshire Live.

Another added: "A rich, luxurious expensive fragrance. Love the vanilla and musky and oriental undertones of this sensual perfume. One spray lasts forever so no need to apply it throughout the day or night. A must-have perfume to add to anyone's collection."

One pleased shopper shared their thoughts: "This is a great addition to the Black Opium family of scents. I love them all and this scent is beautiful. It's Black Opium with a big shot of vanilla.
