It's officially the season for cosy knitwear, and as the chill sets in, many of us are on the hunt for warm yet stylish winter clothes. Luckily, we've found a dress that perfectly balances style and practicality at Debenhams, and it's currently on sale.

The online retailer has reduced the price of the "beautiful" knitted crew neck swing dress by Wallis in its autumn sale. Although only reduced by a modest 5%, the dress is now available for £52.25, down from £55 and shoppers have been singing its praises.

Available in black and green, and in sizes small to extra-large, this pretty swing dress is made from a sumptuously soft and thick fabric perfect for the colder months. It's also easy to style - just pair it with your favourite tights or leggings and winter boots - reports the Manchester Evening News.

The knitted crew neck swing dress has received an overall rating of 4.4 out of five stars. One customer said: "This is lovely. Really easy to wear - fitted without being clingy, and the fabric is a good weight."

Another wrote: "Lovely comfy jumper dress which is a great length. Washes well. Hope this will come back in different colours for next autumn/winter, as I would definitely buy this again."

Another shopper commented on a certain item, saying: "Gorgeous colour and flattering style. Very easy to wear and can be dressed up or down. Great for cooler weather."

Yet one Debenhams customer felt the knitted crew neck swing dress fell short of expectations, describing it as "too short" and "fitted badly". They explained: "Dress far too short and fitted badly. Dress looked awful. I'm only 5ft 3ins."

Nonetheless, a different buyer was thrilled with their Debenhams buy, remarking: "Great dress. Really flattering style. Gorgeous colour. Had lots of compliments about it. Hope other colours will be available in this dress for next winter, as would definitely buy again."
