Coleen Nolan was left red-faced during the latest instalment of Loose Women after son Shane Jr sent in a message about his mum's PDA habits with partner Michael

ITV's Loose Women star Coleen Nolan was notably embarrassed after her son sent an unexpected message during the live broadcast of Tuesday's show.

While discussing how they felt about parents showing affection in public, Coleen, 59, disclosed she wasn't keen on exaggerated public displays of affection.

However, co-star Ruth Langsford couldn't resist sharing a message from Coleen's 35-year-old son, Shane Nolan. Ruth announced: "Interestingly, I've just had a message come in, this is from Shane.."

A clearly blushing Coleen couldn't help but exclaim: "Oh no! " before Ruth read out: "He says tell mum, what are you talking about? You're constantly kissing Michael and it makes me want to vom!"

Amidst gasps from the studio audience and fellow panellists, a flushed Coleen responded: "Oh no I'm not, he's just winding me up and I'm so gonna kill him when I see him! " Despite her embarrassment, when asked whether it was 'true', Coleen adamantly stated, "No, no!" while Ruth playfully remarked: "She's gone red!" reports the Mirror.

In defence, Coleen explained, "No, a kiss on the lips, we won't stand there snogging the face off each other, it makes me sick! " She then humorously added, "He [her son, Shane] watches Loose Women every day, he needs to get a life!"

Since her split with second husband Ray Fensome in 2018, Coleen found romance with Michael Jones in 2021 after trying Tinder. She had joined the dating platform alongside close friend and colleague Brenda Edwards, who is also a panellist on the show.

In a candid chat with the Mirror, Coleen revealed her experience with online dating, saying: "I was on Tinder with Brenda - she swiped right for me I just said 'oh he looks nice' and then he messaged me and it just went from there really. And he didn't have all that 'bet you're a loose woman' or 'bet you're in the mood for dancing' chat."

She further reflected on her views about marriage following two divorces: "I always said, after my second divorce, I'm never, ever getting married again.. I love marriage and it's fantastic when it's working. Brilliant. Nothing better. But when it goes wrong, it's horrendous... divorce is also like grief. You mourn the end of any relationship."

Despite her past, Coleen admitted she hasn't given up on love and sometimes considers the idea of marrying again: "I do sometimes," she confessed: "I think it would be lovely."

Coleen's first marriage was to Shane Richie from 1990 to 1999, with whom she has two sons, Jake, 32, and Shane Jr, 35. She was later married to Ray Fensome from 2007 until their split in 2018, and they have a daughter, Ciara, 23.
