The world was left in shock over the untimely passing of Liam Payne when TMZ broke the news of his fatal fall from the third storey of a high-end hotel. The terrible event took place at the Hotel CasaSur, sited within the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, with local news covering the incident shortly after it happened.

It's been reported that Liam fell from the third floor of a hotel building in the Argentinian capital. Emergency services including police, firefighters and ambulances were spotted outside the hotel following the tragic incident.
The 31-year-old singer had fallen from the third floor of a hotel in the capital Buenos Aires, suffering "extremely serious injuries", police said. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of his death and conducting a post-mortem examination.
In a statement, the local ambulance manager told TN: "At 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel.
"At 17.11 a SAME team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life, as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation."
Argentinian media reported that Payne was in Buenos Aires to attend the concert of his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan. Fans flocked to the hotel after news of Payne's death broke, with many expressing shock and heartbreak.
In a beautiful display of unity fans embraced each other in the street as Liam's body was taken away in a police van. Candles have been lit and placed in the street to pay tribute to the popstar. No doubt as dawn breaks more fans will line the streets to pay their respects.
