by Lydia Royce · Wales OnlinePolice have issued an update on a missing man who was last spotted on CCTV leaving a Welsh harbour in an inflatable boat. Chris Ellery hasn't been seen since.
Chris's daughter, Kenzie Ellery, issued a desperate plea for information to help find her dad on Friday evening - November 1 - after the family last heard from him on Wednesday, October 30. Kenzie described Chris as regularly taking solo trips of this nature, and said he would be well-prepared for anything that went wrong.
Now Dyfed-Powys Police has issued an update as the search for Chris enters the second day. In a statement, a spokesperson for the force said that the 54-year-old was last seen on CCTV at 2pm on Wednesday, leaving Fishguard Harbour in a black RHIB.
The statement said: "A multi-agency search is continuing today for a man reported missing and believed to be in the Fishguard area. Chris, aged 54, was visiting the area and concern was raised when he didn’t return to his home as expected on Thursday, October 31.
"The last sighting of Chris was on CCTV at 2pm on Wednesday, October 30, leaving Fishguard Harbour in a black RHIB. Police, HM Coastguard and RNLI teams are deployed in the operation, with land and sea-based searches currently ongoing." For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter
Chris's daughter explained that the family raised the alarm on Friday morning when he failed to return home. She explained that some of his belongings had been found in a cove which was only accessible by boat, and an AirTag showed his last-known location was out at sea.
