Welsh professional dancer Amy Dowden has issued a caution to her Strictly Come Dancing partner JB Gill as they embarked on a new week of training. The duo survived to the fourth week of the BBC One dance competition after the show's annual Movie Week.

Last Saturday (October 5) was a significant evening for the BBC One dance competition, marking the first themed show of the series. The couples channelled their inner film stars, performing routines inspired by a variety of blockbuster films.

Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec brought Barbie and Ken to life, while Sarah Hadland paid tribute to Dame Maggie Smith with her portrayal of the beloved Professor Minerva McGonagall from Harry Potter, following the actress's death last month.

During the programme, Strictly enthusiasts watched JLS star JB and Amy, from Caerphilly, perform the American Smooth to the song Pure Imagination from last year's Wonka movie, earning an impressive 32 out of a possible 40 points.

The results show confirmed that JB and Amy would continue into another week of the contest and on Monday (October 7), they provided their first update from training, reports the Manchester Evening News.

In a video shared on JB's Instagram Story, the singer and presenter announced: "We're back! " before Amy added: "We've done some hard work. We can't tell you the dance yet but we've done some hard work this morning and just done out interviews with the lovely VT team and then we're going straight back to it."

As they both reflected on the preceding week, Amy queried: "We wanted to actually come on and say what? " leading JB to respond with enthusiasm: "Thank you sooo much. We honestly had so much fun. We're so grateful for you guys for voting for us, sending us through to this week. Week four... we're doing a very, very nice dance this week.."

Amy then cut in, highlighting the upcoming challenges: "But it's going to be the most challenging dance yet for you," to which JB concurred, "It will be tough but it's all good. We like challenges."

She went on to note that Monday isn't JB's 'most favourite' day, prompting him to elaborate: "I'm still trying to learn the dance, then Tuesday we go in on technique and by Wednesday I'm like, 'This actually feels quite good!'"
