On Wednesday's episode of Loose Women, the panel which included Coleen Nolan, Charlene White, Brenda Edwards, and Judi Love, welcomed JB Gill and Lauren Oakley to discuss their new dancing partnership. T

his follows Amy Dowden's exit from the competition due to an injury. In their first television appearance as a duo, JB revealed a pre-show ritual that his wife has advised him against.

Judi commented: "Your wife is a dancer, you have a special ritual that you do before you go on?"

Charlene interjected with a humorous question about the appropriateness of this ritual for daytime TV, leading to laughter as JB assured it was family-friendly.

He explained, "As I come down the stairs to do my walk down, I always try and look for her in the audience.

"She always says to me 'Don't do that because if I'm not sat in that place, you'll be like this (shakes head) the whole time! I did it as a kid!

"I always used to look for my mum or my dad or someone on the sidelines. I think it's just a habit that's died hard, usually, I find her pretty quickly then it erases all the nerves."

Judi probed further about his wife's reaction to him joining the BBC show, reports the Mirror.

JB shared that she was thrilled and that participating in Strictly Come Dancing had been a long-held aspiration of his.

Last weekend saw JB and Lauren perform a Bruno Mars medley during Icons Week, securing a high score of 39. Despite their strong on-screen presence, JB and Lauren discussed the challenges of Lauren stepping in for Amy.

JB stated: "It's one of those things, of course, no one would've ever wished for an outcome like that, but the show must go on and you have to deal with it. The most important thing for us is that Amy gets better and gets time to rest."

Lauren revealed that they're still adjusting to each other, as their physical proportions differ.

She explained: "It's also about getting used to the teaching style that I use and trying to understand how JB listens and understands things in the training room."

This weekend, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley will perform a Samba to Sergio Mendes' song Mas Que Nada.
