BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks 'truly cursed' as fans left worried

BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans are convinced that Pete Wicks is "cursed" as they found out his dance for this week

Strictly Come Dancing fans are worried Pete Wicks is "truly cursed" following the reveal of his upcoming dance routine.

Pete has recently addressed the whispers of a budding romance with his dance partner, Jowita Przysta, denying any truth to the claims. "You wake up on a Sunday morning and it's stories that haven't even happened," he said.

"For example, during the choreography, there's been a story going around for two weeks saying me and Jowita kissed during the dance. Everyone watched it on TV! They called it a 'passionate kiss', it's the choreography!"

Speaking on his podcast, he added: "I had this 'bad boy' persona, and that's my fault, but the person I am now is different to the person I was 11 years ago, and the person I am now is different to the person I will be in 11 years.

"You as a person move on, but the narrative doesn't. It is what it is and you can't complain."

However, could a different 'curse' be set to strike Pete and Jowita? As Pete and Jowita prepare to perform their Rumba to the song Don't Look Back In Anger, speculation among fans is rampant. One person on Reddit shared: "Truly cursed," whilst another added: "Pete doing a rumba, that's going to fuel the rumours also that song I wouldn't associate with a rumba."

A third shared: "A rumba to don't look back in anger wtf no." The duo has faced mixed reaction to their performances, which have included a Samba for Movie Week to George of the Jungle, and a Quickstep set to Town Called Malice.

Discussing his motivations for participating in the show, he shared: "I've realised life's too short. I lost my nan two years ago, and it's the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I didn't get a chance to make her proud before she died. Trying new things, and being a better version of myself, is important to me, because hopefully, she's watching, and she'll be proud."

Another couple will bid farewell on this weekend's edition of the BBC dance contest, following Nick Knowles' departure from the show last week.

Reflecting on his time on the programme, Nick remarked: "I've really, really been surprised by how much I've loved doing it and by two things that happen. One is how much you care each week, and the other is how much you don't want to let down your partner. The only reason I could do this is simply because of Luba's changes, she's been amazing.

"Luba's been amazing and just been so fabulous every day. And I should say thank you also to all the background staff, the physios, all the people that have actually got me through this week, and to all of my fellow competitors who have been absolutely astounding, beautiful people. There are some amazing dancers up there, and I will love watching the rest of the series."
