Jamie Foxx is opening up about his health scare.

On Monday, Foxx, 56, took to Instagram to share snap shots from his one-man show, “One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx,” which happened in Atlanta over the weekend.

“God is good…. As I post these pictures, my heart and my soul is filled with nothing but pure joy…on October 3 fourth and fifth I had an opportunity to tell my side of the story and there was no better place than Atlanta Georgia,” he wrote in his caption.

He added, “I have to thank you Atlanta you showed up and you showed out, I haven’t been on stage in 18 years but I needed the stage and I needed an audience that was made up of nothing but pure love and that’s what you were.”

The Oscar-winning actor and musician said that his performance was not a stand-up comedy show but “an artistic explanation of some thing [sic] that went terribly wrong.”

One photo also showed him playing the piano. He won his Oscar for playing Ray Charles in the 2004 movie “Ray.” Another photo showed him appearing to hug a fan.

He continued, “But thanks to the great people in Atlanta especially piedmont hospital you enabled me to come back and be on stage and do what I love to do the most… #nobaddays as my guy James would say #secondchance thank you ATLANTA,” he finished, along with a string of heart emojis and peach emojis for Georgia.

In the photos, Foxx could be seen looking emotional and wiping his eyes.

Foxx has been gradually returning to the spotlight since he suffered an unspecified health crisis in April 2023. The medical emergency forced him to step away from filming a movie and hosting the Fox game show, “Beat Shazam.” His daughter Corinne, who was also on “Beat Shazam” with him, stepped away too at the time.

At the time, Corrine, shared on her social media that her dad had “experienced a medical complication” the previous day but “due to quick action and great care, he [was] already on his way to recovery.”

In April 2024, Foxx told a group of people Phoenix that he was admitted to the hospital after taking Advil for a “bad headache.”

“I was gone for 20 days,” he explained before admitting that he does not “remember anything” about what happened.

The “Django Unchained” star has not revealed the specifics of his health crisis. But, he walked Corinne down the aisle when she married Joe Hooten last month.

He also returned to work as the host of Fox’s musical game show “Beat Shazam” with Corrine – while he was out, Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne temporarily filled in and kept the show going.
