Heroes, zeros and the full blitz from the Jets’ 23-17 loss to the Vikings on Sunday:

Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson was a menace for the Jets secondary.

He not only caught six passes for 92 yards, but he drew five penalties — three for pass interference, one for illegal contact and one for defensive holding.

Unsung hero

Vikings linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, a career ball hawk, intercepted Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter and returned it 63 yards for a TD and a 10-0 Minnesota lead. It was the play of the game.

Zero

Aaron Rodgers had his worst day of the season, throwing three INTs, tying a career high, including the pick-six to Van Ginkel. Rodgers finished 29-for-54 for 244 yards, two TDs and three INTs.

Key number

11 hits the Vikings defense got on Rodgers, one week after Rodgers was hit 15 times by the Denver defense.

Rodgers left the game for one play in the second quarter when he was awkwardly bent backwards and hurt his left knee and ankle.

Quote of the day

“It’s early. We’re five games in. Obviously, we’d like it to be a lot better, but it’s early and we’ve got a long way to go.’’
