2024 WNBA Finals odds: Liberty heavily favored to bring a banner to Barclays

The Liberty have a chance to capture their first WNBA championship when they open the 2024 NBA Finals Thursday night against the Minnesota Lynx at Barclays Center.

The Liberty are favorites to win the WNBA Finals coming in at -260 on ESPN BET, with the comeback on the Lynx at +210.

In Thursday’s Game 1, the Liberty are -6.5 favorites and -265 on the moneyline.

The Liberty were expected to be among the best teams in the WNBA entering the season, as they were +250 to win the title, although the Las Vegas Aces were favored coming into the year at +125, after dominating the league in 2023 and winning the total.

Becky Hammon’s group was eliminated in the semifinals by the Liberty in four games.

The Liberty are a battle-tested group that went 32-8 during the regular season, the best record in the league.

They are led by forward Breanna Stewart and guard Sabrina Ionescu, who have averaged more than 20 points per game throughout the regular season.

Stewart is the favorite to win the WNBA Finals MVP, coming in at +115 on BetMGM Sportsbook, while Ionescu is at +210.

The Lynx’s Napheesa Collier is +240 to win Finals MVP after leading Minnesota past the Connecticut Sun in a grueling five-game series.

The most likely outcome of the series according to oddsmakers is the Liberty to sweep the best-of-five series.

BetMGM posted this series outcome at +260, while the Liberty to win the series 3-1 is +270.
