Man accused of abducting, killing billionaire heiress Eliza Fletcher on morning run pleads guilty

The man accused of kidnapping and killing billionaire heiress Eliza Fletcher has pleaded guilty to the heinous crime in a shocking turn of events.

Cleotha Abston admitted to the crime in a Memphis court Monday, with the judge immediately sentencing him to life in prison without parole, WREG reported.

Fletcher, a teacher and a mother, disappeared while going for her usual early morning jog in September 2022.

Investigators discovered she had been forced into a dark van, and her body was later discovered with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

Abston was arrested the day after she vanished.
