Ex-City Hall official Mohamed Bahi charged with witness tampering and destruction of evidence in NYC Mayor Adams case

· New York Post

A former top official in the Adams administration official was charged with witness tampering and destruction of evidence by the feds on Tuesday – one day after he left City Hall.

Mohamed Bahi told witnesses in the historic corruption case against Mayor Eric Adams to lie to federal agents, a complaint unsealed Tuesday contends.

Bahi also deleted a messaging app off his phone before the feds served a search warrant at his home in July, the court papers state.

The complaint comes a day after city officials said Bahi, who served as the mayor’s liaison to the Muslim community, had resigned.

Bahi didn’t answer several calls from The Post.
