Met Éireann has issued two Status Yellow rain warnings for six counties.

The rain warning for counties Clare, Limerick, Galway and Mayo comes into effect at 3pm tomorrow and is valid until 3am on Friday.

The Status Yellow alert for counties Cork and Kerry also comes into effect at 3pm tomorrow, but this alert remains in place until 1pm on Friday.

Met Éireann forecasts heavy and persistent rain, with the possibility of thunderstorms.
