Man killed, two injured in Co Meath crash

A man in his 80s has died and two people have been taken to hospital following a collision involving a car and a van in Co Meath.

The driver of the van was was killed in the collision while the two occupants of the second vehicle were taken to hospital by ambulance services.

The collision happened at around 5pm on the R162 Nobber to Kingscourt Road.

The road will remain closed overnight.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
