Man due in court over Dublin hit-and-run incident

A 24-year-old man has been charged in relation to an investigation into a hit-and-run incident in Dublin at the weekend.

A pedestrian in his 20s was seriously injured after he was struck by a van at Cloverhill Road in Clondalkin at around 1.45pm on Sunday.

The driver of the van failed to remain at the scene.

Gardaí arrested a man on Sunday night and have since charged him.

He is due before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.
