“ANNWYN The Otherworld” is a six-part series that follows police chief Max, who oversees a small town in Brittany. There, he takes on several new and strange cases, including the disappearance of a teenage girl and a suspected serial abuser. The challenging investigation is made more difficult given Max’s home life. Having recently lost his wife, Max and his daughter Wendie are struggling to put the pieces of their broken relationship back together.

Things take an inexplicable twist when several locals are found seemingly drained of all their vital energy. With the help of her friends, Wendie discovers a supernatural creature is responsible for many of the village’s ills. After finding out that she has the power to confront the being, she works with her father to confront the evil force that threatens the entire community.

The show’s cast includes Guillaume Labbé (“The Connection”) as Max and Capucine Malarre (“Mixte”) as Wendie. Other actors involved include Eugénie Derouand, Christiane Cohendy, Aaliyah Lexilus, Jean-Baptiste Blanc, Jérémie Covillault, Steve Driesen, Maxence Danet-Fauvel, Yves Pignot and Anne Serra.

Other highlights from France TV Distribution’s fall drama lineup include the mystery thriller “Sea Shadows,” period drama “George Untamed Spirit” and event series “Zorro.”

“ANNWYN The Otherworld” is distributed worldwide by France TV Distribution, and remake rights are also available.
