Driver escapes unharmed after car fire at Jalan Bintulu-Miri

BINTULU (Nov 4) A 32-year-old man escaped unscathed after his car caught fire at Mile 34 Jalan Bintulu-Miri last night.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they were notified about the incident at 8.51pm and firefighters from Samalaju fire station were despatched to the scene.

“The car had been involved in a single-vehicle accident before bursting into flames,” it added.

Bomba said the firefighters used one hose line and water from the fire engine to battle the flames, but the car was completely destroyed.

It added that the fire under control at 9:45pm and was fully extinguished about ten minutes later.
