Lorry driver injured in accident at Mile 13 of Jalan Kuching-Serian
by Galileo Petingi · Borneo Post OnlineKUCHING (Oct 14): A lorry driver sustained injuries in an accident that occurred at Mile 13 of Jalan Kuching-Serian here.
A spokesperson from Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said a call about the incident was received at 3.11pm, after which firefighters from Siburan station were rushed to the scene.
“The incident involves two lorries, and a man, aged 26, was pinned inside one of them.
“The firefighters, after assessing the situation, proceeded to release him out of the lorry using special tools,” said the spokesperson.
The victim was then given first-aid treatment by Bomba’s Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) before being sent to the hospital.
The operation ended at 3.45pm.
