Two injured in pre-dawn car accident in Bintulu
by yunus yussop · Borneo Post OnlineBINTULU (Oct 27): Two people were injured this morning after their car was involved in a single-vehicle accident at Jalan Samalaju here.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement said nine firefighters from the Bintulu fire station were despatched to the scene after being notified about the accident at 4.15am.
“Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the accident involved a single vehicle with two victims, one male and one female, trapped in the front driver and passenger seats,” it added.
The firefighters successfully extricated both victims from the wreckage.
Bomba said the female victim was transported by Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle, while the male victim was taken by an ambulance to the Bintulu Hospital for treatment.
The operation ended around 5am.
