Driver unscathed after car fire in Sibu
by philip wong · Borneo Post OnlineSIBU (Nov 6): A male driver escaped unscathed after his car caught fire following a single-vehicle accident at Jalan Teng Kung Suk here last night.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), in a statement said they were notified about the incident at 9.07pm and 10 firefighters from the Sibu fire station were despatched to the scene.
“Upon arrival, it was found that the car had been completely destroyed after a single-vehicle accident. The driver, however, was safe and did not sustain any injuries.”
Bomba said the firefighters managed to put the fire under control at 9.22pm, and concluded their operation at 9.26pm after the fire was fully extinguished.
