Kitchen of Sibu coffeeshop slightly destroyed by fire

SIBU (Nov 4): The kitchen of a coffeeshop at Jalan Blacksmith here was slightly destroyed after it caught fire today.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement said 10 firefighters from the Sibu Central fire station were deployed to the scene after receiving a call at 1.13pm.

“Upon their arrival, the found the fire only involved the stove in the kitchen area. The firefighters managed to put out the fire quickly,” it said.

No injuries or casualties were reported.

After ensuring the situation was safe, Bomba ended the operation at 1.54pm.
