Woman among 3 held in Miri for alleged drug trafficking

MIRI (Oct 7): A woman was among three people arrested for alleged involvement in drug trafficking during a raid at a house here at around 3.20pm last Saturday.

District police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said during the raid, the police found drugs suspected to be cannabis, valued at around RM3,440.

“Police found a box containing drugs suspected to be cannabis, weighing 1,100g, and a red-coloured tin containing 0.4g of drugs suspected to be cannabis,” he said in a press statement last night.

Alexson stated that the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 6 of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
