Fauziah, Linggi head TYT’s birthday honours list with ‘Datuk Patinggi’ title

KUCHING (Oct 12): The Yang di-Pertua Negeri’s wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi and Tun Jugah Foundation chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Leonard Linggi Jugah head the list of award recipients in conjunction with the 78th birthday of Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar today.

Fauziah and Linggi have been conferred the Datuk Patinggi Bintang Kenyalang award which carries the title ‘Datuk Patinggi’.

They are among 1,046 individuals to receive various awards from the Governor in conjunction with his birthday this year.

Chief Justice of Sabah and Sarawak Dato Abdul Rahman Sebli, Temenggong Datuk Wan Hamid Edruce Tuanku Mohammad, State Attorney-General Datu Saferi Ali and Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Datu Dr Mohammad Abdullah Zaidel have been awarded the Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak, which carries the title ‘Dato Sri’.

Also in the birthday honours list are Deputy Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Dato Sri Huang Tiong Sii, the Sarawak Premier’s senior private secretary Dato Khir Busrah, and Regional Corridor Development Authority chief executive officer Datu Ismawi Ismuni, who have been awarded the Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang which carries the title ‘Datuk’.

Eighteen have been conferred the Darjah Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak award that carries the title ‘Dato’, notably the Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s son Abang Abdillah Izzarim, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian’s wife Datin Amar Enn Ong, Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, Kabong assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir, Archbishop Dr Simon Poh, Kuching North City Commission Datuk Bandar Hilmy Othman, and federal Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Khaw Kok Chin.

A further 12 individuals have been awarded the Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak that carries the title ‘Datu’, namely Elizabeth Loh, Abang Ahmad Abang Morni, Sirai Daha, Jafri Lias, Hamdan Sharbini, Jonathan Lugoh, Jack Liam, Kueh Lei Poh, Michael Ronnie Langgong, Nyurak Keti, Mersal Abang Rosli, and Prof Dr Neilson Ilan Mersat.

The list also includes the Johan Bintang Sarawak award (3 recipients), Johan Bintang Kenyalang (1), Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (20), Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (15), Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (98), Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (143), Ahli Bintang Sarawak (76), Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (198); Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (194), and Bentara Bintang Sarawak (259).
