A barrage of rockets was fired by Hamas from the Gaza Strip towards central Israel on Monday.

Hamas launched some 35 rockets into northern Israel in last few hours, as Israel marks the anniversary of the October 7 massacre one year ago.

Two women around 30 years old were injured when shrapnel from a rocket fell on a home in Kfar Chabad, causing extensive damage. Hatzalah also treated two cases of shock and two individuals who were injured while making their way to a shelter. All victims are currently receiving medical treatment.

Levi Yitzchak Goodman, a volunteer medic with United Hatzalah, told COL: “I was nearby when I heard the explosion. I went out, protected, to the scene and provided initial medical assistance to the two individuals who were lightly injured from shrapnel and blast. Additionally, several individuals suffering from shock were treated at the scene by the resilience unit teams of United Hatzalah.”

MDA spokesperson: In the area of the Shdot Dan Regional Council, MDA medics and paramedics are providing medical treatment and evacuating two women, approximately 30 years old, with light injuries from shrapnel to Shamir-Asaf Harofeh Hospital. Additionally, in other locations, MDA teams are providing medical care to several people who were lightly injured on their way to a safe space and to those suffering from shock.

Senior medic at MDA, Yossi Nabul, said:

“We arrived at the scene quickly and saw the two injured women who were fully conscious and suffering from light shrapnel wounds. We provided them with initial medical care on-site and then evacuated them in an MDA ambulance to the hospital, their condition being light. During the treatment, we understood that one of the injured was inside a building while the other was in an open area nearby.”
