Chelsea next five fixtures compared to Aston Villa, Man United and Tottenham after Liverpool

The latest Chelsea news following their Premier League defeat to Liverpool - with the Blues now ready for five games across 14 days in multiple competitions.

Chelsea have several more challenging fixtures to come following a 2-1 Premier League defeat to Liverpool. The Blues were on a seven-game unbeaten streak prior to their Anfield trip - though that ended at the hands of Arne Slot's impressive table-toppers.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring, from the penalty spot, after a foul on Curtis Jones by Levi Colwill. Liverpool thought they had a second spot-kick when Jones was upended again, this time by Robert Sanchez, however VAR overturned the decision.

Nicolas Jackson then equalised early into the second half but just moments later Curtis Jones put Liverpool back in front. The defeat, given the opponents, is far from a major blow for Chelsea, with attention needing to turn quickly on to the next batch of fixtures before November's international break, which come in three different competitions.

With that said, football.london has taken a look at the upcoming games for Chelsea along with Tottenham, Aston Villa and Manchester United, who all won this past weekend, as their most-likely top-four rivals;

Chelsea

October 24 vs Panathinaikos (A) at 5.45pm - Conference League

October 27 vs Newcastle (H) at 2pm - Premier League

October 30 vs Newcastle (A) at 7.45pm - Carabao Cup

November 3 vs Manchester United (A) at 4.30pm - Premier League

November 7 vs Noah (H) at 8pm - Conference League

Verdict

Only two of Chelsea's next five fixtures are in the Premier League with domestic matches against Newcastle and Manchester United presenting a real challenge for Enzo Maresca and his players. A European clash in Greece is up next, though, with Panathinaikos keen to cause an upset in the Europa Conference League.

Three days on from welcoming Newcastle to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea head up to Tyneside for a Carabao Cup third round tie with a trip to United arriving that very weekend. The final fixture of their next five is back in west London as they welcome Armenian outfit FC Noah in another European clash.
