Tottenham next five fixtures compared to Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United after AZ Alkmaar win

by · football.london

Ange Postecoglou only has another day or two on the training pitches before Tottenham Hotspur return to action. The Lilywhites will lock horns with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon as both teams look to climb the Premier League table.

Spurs head into that meeting following a 1-0 win against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, while the Eagles have enjoyed a couple days rest after their disappointing 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest. Just four points separate the north Londoners in seventh from Aston Villa in fourth.

As for Palace, they've had a rocky start to the season so Oliver Glasner will be hoping to clamber out the bottom three. That said, footbal.london have looked at Tottenham's upcoming fixtures, and how they compare when up against their closest Premier League rivals;

Crystal Palace (A) - Premier League - October 27

Palace still haven't recorded their first win of the Premier League season, so Tottenham will be looking to pile on their misery this weekend. With a tough match against Manchester City on the horizon, Spurs have the chance to build some serious momentum.

Manchester City (H) - Carabao Cup - October 30

Unfortunately for Tottenham, they drew the short straw in the Carabao Cup. But, the Lilywhites have a somewhat better record than most against City, winning three of the last seven encounters, drawing one and losing the other three, so it's an open draw, you might think.

Aston Villa (H) - Premier League - November 3

Another tough game, but another one on home turf. Postecoglou will need the home faithful behind his side every step of the way, with the clash set to prove decisive in the race for top-four.

Galatasaray (A) - Europa League - November 7

This looks poised to be an absolute classic. Tottenham will lock horns with Galatasaray in front of a boisterous crowd at Rams Park in Istanbul. Drums. Pyrotechnics. Whistling. Booing. Tifos. You name it... The ground will be a cauldron of noise.

Ipswich Town (H) - Premier League - November 10

Just a few days later, Tottenham will face Ipswich. It's a quick turnaround, so this could be a potential hiccup for Postecoglou's swashbuckling side.
