Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis share adorable hobby - away from Prince George

Two incredibly hands-on parents, Prince William and Princess Kate, have invested a lot of time and effort into ensuring that their three children - Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six - have a wide range of hobbies that help develop their imaginations and overall wellbeing.

Both active people themselves, Kate and William's three children take part in a wide range of sporty hobbies, including tennis, rugby, football, and more. However, the Prince and Princess of Wales have also helped encourage their kids' creative sides, although William has previously admitted that Kate is more of the "arty" parent. Their two youngest children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, share one particular hobby that they really "love" - but it's not something that Prince George is quite as interested in.

The Prince of Wales revealed the pair's special interest when he was visiting BAFTA's new headquarters back in 2022, in his capacity as president of the association - a position he has held since 2010. He admitted that whilst it was also an interest he personally shares, it still came along with a parenting issue that he and Kate were working to tackle.

The hobby that Louis and Charlotte share is watching films, something that William also has a keen interest in, but he still has to work to ensure that their screen time is carefully kept in check - something many parents will be able to relate to. "At the moment it's trying to regulate the gaming... monitoring screen time. Got to be careful of that," William explained.

"They're fascinated by it. George particularly. He's more interested in it. The other two are a bit too small at the moment but they love the films. I adore film and gaming as well." At the time of his visit, William was launching a new BAFTA bursary in his name that provides funding to junior creatives working in these fields.

This isn't the only time it has come up that Kate and William have some concerns over the amount of screen time their children get - so much so that they even instituted a ban on the kids using iPads. When George and Charlotte were much younger, an anonymous source who knows the couple told Us Weekly, "They're very much seen as Mummy and Daddy’s toys, not for children," an anonymous source who knows the couple told the magazine. "As two people who grew up without gadgets for entertainment themselves, William and Kate are firm believers in toys, outdoor play, and encouraging an active imagination."
