BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri's very famous ex-boyfriend before her Love Island fame

Strictly Come Dancing star and model Tasha Ghouri met her current boyfriend on Love Island but before that she was with a star from another reality show who now works as a dating coach

Strictly and Love Island star Tasha Ghouri’s famous ex-boyfriend apparently regretted breaking up with her and thought she was "the one that got away".

Model and Love Island beauty Tasha Ghouri has been a fan of Strictly Come Dancing since she was a little girl so is beyond excited to be one of this year’s celebrity contestants competing to lift the glitterball trophy. "Pinch me, I can't believe I'm going to be on [Strictly]! I've been watching the show since I was little - it's a firm Ghouri family favourite - so this is a total dream come true," she said when it was announced she was part of the line-up.

"I know it's going to be an unforgettable experience and I hope to represent and make everyone proud out on that dancefloor," she added. Tasha, 26, who was born deaf and has a cochlear implant, has been partnered with pro Aljaž Škorjanec. She shared the reaction of her boyfriend Andre Le Page, 29, when she found out who she had been paired with.

A TikTok video shows Tasha beaming as she ran into a garden and Andrew, who she has been in a relationship with since meeting on Love Island in 2022, was seen jumping up excitedly. He was then seen with his hands over his face and his mouth open. Over the footage, Tasha wrote: "POV: When you tell your bf who your Strictly partner is." The video was set to the intro to Lady Gaga 's song Poker Face and she captioned the video with dancing emojis.

The couple seem to be pretty serious and have recently bought a property together which they plan to renovate. Before they met though, they were both in the world of dating and while on Love Island, Tasha revealed that she’d had two previous relationships, the longest of which was for five months. Her ex in question turned out to be famous in his own right. He was Robert Van Tromp, a contestant on dating show Too Hot to Handle and YouTuber. Apparently he was dismayed when he saw Tasha on Love Island because he realised he’d made a mistake in splitting with her.

A source told MailOnline at the time: "Robert is gutted after seeing Tasha on Love Island. She ticks all his boxes and he had hoped to reconnect with her after regretting their breakup. Tasha is the one that got away and he believes he let a gem go, watching her on the show this summer won't be easy for him."

Robert, who says he is now a dating coach, was in a relationship with his former Too Hot to Handle co-star Christina Carmela after the pair met on the show. They split in September 2021, a month before he met Tasha on an app. They went on to break up three months before Tasha popped up on ITV ’s flagship dating show.

He’s not the only famous man she is rumoured to have had a fling with either. It’s thought she dated former Strictly professional dancer Giovanni Pernice. Before appearing on Love Island, Tasha also worked as a professional dancer. According to an insider, Tasha ended up meeting Giovanni in January 2022, a month after he won Strictly with Rose Ayling-Ellis.

They are believed to have connected on Instagram and started DMing each other before meeting for a string of dates. "'They have a lot in common, both being dancers, and he had just learned a lot about the deaf community performing with Rose on Strictly, who Tasha really admires," a source claimed to MailOnline at the time.

They added: "Tasha was impressed by how gentlemanly he was, taking her out to top London restaurants and offering to send cars to collect her, but she's independent and always made her own way to see him. Their romance didn't progress because Giovanni was travelling a lot with the Strictly tour and Tasha was already involved with someone else."
