After this week's round of fixtures just eight teams will remain in the Carabao Cup - and with that in mind, here's everything you need to know about the quarter-final draw

We're at the sort of point in the competition where teams starting taking it pretty seriously, with this week's fixtures set to determine who has made into the quarter-final draw. With two ties already out of the way, the rest of the fixtures are taking place on Wednesday evening, with all the Premier League's biggest hitters still in play.
Liverpool are taking on Brighton at the Amex Stadium, Newcastle welcome Chelsea to St James' Park and, in arguably the pick of the games, Manchester City travel to Tottenham. Elsewhere, managerless Manchester United are taking on Leicester at Old Trafford, while Aston Villa face Crystal Palace at Villa Park.
Meanwhile, Championship side Preston will be looking to score the biggest upset of the round as they welcome Arsenal to Deepdale. Here, Mirror Football runs through everything you'll need to know about the upcoming quarter-final draw.
When is the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw?
The draw for the quarter-finals will be held on Wednesday, October 30, following Spurs' clash with City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It's estimated to begin at around 10:30pm UK time.
However, if there's nothing to seperates the sides in the headline match of the round come full-time that could be delayed by penalties. There's no extra-time in the Carabao Cup until the semi-final stage.
How can I watch the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw?
While the draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Ultra HDR for subscribers, it will also be available to watch for free on Sky Sports Football's YouTube channel.
If you're a Sky customer who will be on the go during the draw, you'll be able to see it unfold via live stream on the Sky Go app. Jamie Redknapp and Izzy Christiansen will make the draw, with Mark Chapman hosting proceedings.
When will the Carabao Cup quarter-finals take place?
Those fixtures are due to be played the week commencing Monday, December 16. Official dates will be confirmed at some point after the draw is made.
The schedule means there's potential for a number of different fixtures to be repeated back-to-back, much like the game between Newcastle and Chelsea, who faced each other at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. These fixtures include: Brighton vs Crystal Palace, Chelsea vs Brentford, and Manchester United vs Manchester City.
The quarter-final winners will go on to the semi-finals, which will be played over two legs. The first leg is set to be held during the commencing January 6, 2025, while the final will be held on March 16, 2025.
