The heartbroken fiancé of a missing Brit mother revealed his heartbreak as he made an emotional plea for her safe return home.

Victoria Taylor, 34, was last seen at her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, on Monday morning around 9am, before being captured on CCTV two hours later buying a soft drink at a local BP garage. She has not contacted her family or friends since then, sparking a huge search in the local area.

The mum, who is believed to work as a carer, is described as being white and approximately 5ft six inches tall. She was last spotted wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas original puffer jacket with white stripes down the sleeves and a grey Jack Wills hooded jumper.

And on Friday morning, Matthew Grant Williams confirmed he was due to marry Victoria but were yet to set a date, following their return from their first family holiday in Majorca. Clutching their daughter, 2, on the family's doorstep, a distraught Mr Williams said: "I hope she comes back safely."

The emotional father, looking at his daughter, said: "Obviously, this one is missing her mam. We are all hoping she comes back. She was dedicated to her job, dedicated to us, and we had just returned from a lovely holiday. It is just sad."

He added: "As soon as we reported her missing, knowing her very well we went looking around the area where the police had been. Since then, with the weather and everything, I just want to be here for this one. We had just go back from holiday.

'I am just heartbroken for this one. I know Vikki wanted this one to have the best opportunities in life - the opportunities she never had. It breaks my heart." But cuddling his daughter, he told MailOnline: "We live in hope, don't we kid. She was such a good mother to this kid and I hope she can be a good mother again."

It comes after defiant friends of Ms Taylor begged supporters “not to give up”, as the search for the popular mum enters its fifth day on Friday. Charlotte Cundill has issued a rallying cry for her friends not to lose hope. She wrote on a 4,000 people-strong Facebook group set up for the search: “Please, please, please do not give up on my beautiful friend as the days pass by. We're onto day 5 tomorrow and the food festival is in town so it's going to be busy over the weekend.

“Please make tomorrow another crazy day of searching and keeping everyone updated. Please keep printing posters off to hand/share out. We will do everything we can to keep the public updated as much as possible. I just want to thank everyone involved in sharing posts. Handing posters out, searching, and every other input that has been made to bring Vixx home to her lovely little family.”

Police yesterday released CCTV footage, taken at 11.35am on Monday at a BP garage on Welham Road in the Norton area of Malton shows the nurse inside.
