The Great British Bake Off is back on Channel 4 tonight (Tuesday, September 24) with a fresh batch of twelve contestants ready to tackle a variety of baking challenges.

Judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will once again be keeping a close eye on the new bakers, while presenters Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond provide emotional support.

The infamous Bake Off Tent has witnessed numerous champions, a variety of baking blunders and some truly spectacular creations. The show is typically filmed over a ten-week period from April to June, allowing the bakers to maintain their regular jobs during the week.

However, viewers may be curious about where the Great British Bake Off is filmed each year and if they can visit the iconic white tent.

The Great British Bake Off is filmed on the grounds of Welford Park in Berkshire. The white marquee is set up near the Welford Park House and the round-tower church.

This beautiful park has been the backdrop for the baking show since its fifth series in 2014. Unfortunately, Bake Off fans cannot visit the white tent as it is only erected for filming, but they are welcome to visit Welford Park.

Welford Park was originally Henry VIII's deer hunting lodge before being purchased by a family in 1618. It has since become a popular filming location for the Bake Off production team, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.

The inaugural series of Great British Bake Off was shot in multiple locations, before the crew set up shop at Valentines Mansion in Redbridge for the second series and later relocated to Harptree Court in Somerset for the third and fourth series.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the beloved show made a temporary move to Down Hall, a Victorian country house and estate, near Hatfield Heath in Essex between 2020 and 2021.
