Tess Daly, the beloved host of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, has been a fixture on our televisions for twenty years. The presenter, who is wed to Vernon Kay, consistently dazzles viewers with her flawless appearance every Saturday night alongside Claudia Winkleman. However, she once admitted to a 'disgusting habit' that she keeps hidden from the public eye.

In a 2021 interview with The Guardian, the 55 year old star revealed some lesser-known facts about herself, including that she hadn't tasted Italian food since she was 15 and had appeared in two Duran Duran music videos. " My kids are thoroughly unimpressed. I'm like, 'Excuse me. These guys were the One Direction of my day. I had their posters on my bedroom wall and look, I'm dancing with them,'" she chuckled.

Giving fans a glimpse into her domestic life with husband Vernon Kay, Tess shared his worst habit, which surprisingly isn't as bad as hers. "Vernon's worst habit is that he always gets into the shower five minutes before we go out. It drives me bonkers," she confessed before revealing her own 'disgusting' habit.

"I bite my split ends off in the car, which is gross. It's disgusting. I've probably got a fur ball in my stomach the size of a tennis ball," the former model joked.

Tess isn't the only one sharing insights into her personal life with Vernon. The couple, who have been married for over two decades, have two teenage daughters - 19 year old Phoebe and 14 year old Amber.

Telly favourite Vernon recently opened up to his fans about an irritating habit that gets him a ticking-off from his wife. Showering praise on his other half while chatting on his BBC Radio 2 show, Vernon let slip how his family gives him the Royal treatment when he's feeling under the weather.

But it seems there's one catch. Chuckling, he admitted: "Sometimes I get shouted at because it's not reciprocated, I think is the right word," and went on to say, "You know, I apologise on a regular basis, so yeah, there you go, they really do look after me."

The glamorous pair hit a grand milestone with their 20th wedding anniversary last year and Tess hasn't been shy about keeping the spark alive in plain sight of her Insta folks. In a lively Instagram Q&A session, the Strictly host gushed: "We still sit down for dinner and have so much to talk about, we still have a real laugh. When I see his name pop up on my phone, I'm like 'yay'".

She didn't stop there, adding with a grin: "We have a good laugh, he's always messing about, dancing and singing in the kitchen. [There's] never a dull moment."
