Tommy Fury reveals real reason for Molly-Mae split as he insists he's NEVER cheated nor been tempted

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury announced their shock split last month after five years together - but it's not for the reason people think, Tommy says

Tommy Fury has revealed the real reason he split with Molly-Mae Hague – as he insists he never cheated.

The 25-year-old boxer says social media influencer Molly, also 25, is still his ‘dream girl’ and has vowed to ‘love her until my final breath’. The couple met on Love Island in 2019 and though they didn’t win the show – coming runners up instead - are the most successful pairing the ITV show has ever seen.

In January last year they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Bambi, and got engaged on top of a clip in Ibiza – with Bambi being part of the romantic proposal. But in August, Molly-Mae announced the shock news that her and Tommy had split.

At the time it was reported it was because Tommy had cheated – but in his first interview since the split, he has denied this is the case and wants to put the record straight ahead of his autobiography – which references the split – coming out next week.

He said: “All the allegations that were made of me recently are completely false. The truth will come out in time and when it does, I think a lot of people might regret their actions and unkind words. The whole world will I reckon.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Tommy revealed: “What the public think is going on isn’t what is going on. It’s not something I envisaged happening, but it didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s a thing that was there previously to all of this happening, but the only people who know what is going on in our relationship is me and Molly.”

Asked if he had cheated on Molly, Tommy replied: “Absolutely not. I think if you were going to cheat on someone you should just sit down and say, ‘I don’t love you any more,’ clearly, because you want to go and pursue other people. When you get to that stage, you should just call it a day. If you want to go out there and have affairs with women then you definitely shouldn’t be with your partner. Definitely not. And have I ever reached that point? No.”

Nor has he ever been tempted, Tommy says. He goes on to describe Molly as the ‘perfect woman’ and ‘perfect mother’. Asked if their situation is fixable and if they will ever get back together, Tommy said he believes things ‘will work themselves out’ as he ‘100 per cent’ wants his family to be back together.

While Molly-Mae hasn’t revealed why their relationship ended, she said on Instagram that she will be "forever grateful" for their daughter. Sharing the shock news with fans, she said: "Never in a million years did I ever think I'd have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end.

"I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority. I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I'll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x."
