All Creatures Great and Small star Samuel West shared a heartfelt update on his mother Prunella Scales' on going health battle

The actor, 58, who plays Siegfried Farnon in All Creatures Great and Small on Channel 5, appeared on Lorraine Kelly’s self-titled chat show and spoke about his mums struggle with dementia.

The actress, 92, has been battling dementia since 2014. Lorraine asked: “How are your lovely mum and dad?” Samuel confirmed: “They’re fine.”

He continued: “My mother went on a cruise the other day and I’m not sure she quite knew where she was but she is getting there.”
