During tonight's tear-jerking episode of Married at First Sight UK (October 30), groom Kieran left his bride and fellow dinner guests in shock as he revealed a heart-wrenching truth.

Wednesday night's show saw the couples penning anonymous letters to each other containing advice and support for each other's rocky romances. Kieran and Kristina, once viewed as one of the series' strongest couples, have hit a rough patch, with viewers seeing Kieran grapple with his feelings for Kristina, reports the Daily Record.

At the dinner, Kristina reaffirmed her love for Kieran, promising she was different from his exes that had caused him worry. "I can see the potential with us," she professed, looking him in the eye.

"I can see me, in whatever time you need, moving to Newcastle - I'll make that f****** journey for you, because I care about you and I see potential with you."

Kristina didn't hold back, expressing: "I have fought for you from day one. We have so much respect for each other. We've got that fire and electric between us and I don't think I can let that go."

However, despite her heartfelt plea, Kieran confessed his doubts about their marriage being more than platonic, leaving his bride and the rest of the group at the dinner table in tears.

"There's no one in the world like you," Kieran began. "I know my head's all over the place and I know I'm potentially risking losing one of the best women that I could ever wish for, and that's one of the hardest things to admit to myself."

His admission was a poignant one, highlighting just how difficult it has been for him to come to terms with his feelings.

"I'm not going to lead you on because I do care about you," he said as his voice began to crack. "At the minute, I'm in that grey area where I'm thinking is this a friendship, or is this more? All I can do is be honest with you. But I'm really, really grateful and thankful for everything."

His emotional confession cast a spell of silence over the other couples, leaving them speechless. The cameras later caught a vulnerable moment with Kieran alone, crying in the corner and clutching his glass, as he confided to the viewers: "I need to work out whether this can be more than friendship."
