Coleen and Wayne Rooney put on loved-up display on rare night out with son Kai

Coleen Rooney appeared to shrug off the latest court drama involving herself and fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy as she stepped out with her husband Wayne and son Kai

Coleen Rooney proudly supported her husband Wayne and ignored the Rebekah Vardy court drama.

The Liverpudlian has found herself back in court after fellow WAG Vardy accused Rooney of "deliberately deceiving" the court over the £1.8 million Wagatha Christie court costs. Former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Rebekah was ordered to pay 90 per cent of Coleen's legal fees after she lost the infamous 2020 libel case.

However, a court has now heard that "there has been no misconduct", with Senior Costs Judge Andrew Gordon-Saker ruling "on balance and, I have to say, only just", that Mrs Rooney's legal team had not committed wrongdoing, and therefore it was "not an appropriate case" to reduce the amount of money that Mrs Vardy should pay. He said that while there was a "failure to be transparent", it was not "sufficiently unreasonable or improper" to constitute misconduct. Coleen's representative, Dunne, argued it was "outrageous" to accuse them of being dishonest and slammed Rebekah's "deplorable conduct", adding that the legal costs would have been lower if "she conducted this litigation appropriately."

But Coleen, 38, appeared to shrug the drama off as she and her son Kai beamed while footballer Wayne picked up an award at the Legends of Football Awards at London's JW Marriott Grosvenor House. Coleen looked sensational as she rocked a black dress with plunging chestline also featuring tassel detailing on the skirt of her gown. She added inches to her petite frame with a pair of black heels and a matching clutch bag.

The businesswoman and former TV personality chose a pair of neaty gold hooped earrings for the outing and opted to style her caramel tresses into a slicked back do as she lovingly gazed at the Everton and Manchester United legend. Meanwhile, Coleen and Wayne were joined by their son Kai, 14, at the event who proudly watched on wearing a black suit, white shirt and a pair of trainers.

Collecting his award after being recognised as Manchester United's record goal scorer, Wayne said: "I am delighted to receive the 2024 Legends of Football award. The award has been previously awarded to some of the biggest names in the game, to be recognised alongside all of them including some of my teammates, opponents and footballing icons means a lot.

"Throughout my life and career; music has always been a massive influence and inspiration for me, and to see how Nordoff and Robbins use music to help people connect and communicate is truly special. I'm really looking forward to celebrating for a great night of football, music and fundraising at Grosvenor House."
